Chinese Warlord era copy of a FN1900
I have what I believe to be a Chinese Warlord era copy of a FN1900.
It was being marketed as a FN1900 with a “Mauser Banner” in an online auction. I was not aware of any collaborations between FN and Mauser, so I started looking at it a bit closer. The pictures were not conclusive so I wasn’t exactly sure what I was bidding on but figured it was worth the risk. After the pistol arrived at my local FFL/Gunsmith he and I looked it over and believe it fits into the Chinese Warlord era. I tried running a .30 cal rod down the barrel and it got stuck half way, not sure if it’s bad machining or 100 years of build up.
I’m not a photographer so my pictures are not great but hopefully show what we are seeing.
The details that jump out:
- A crude Mauser Banner on an FN.
- Upside down words/letters and misspellings.
- The misuse of numbers in the serial numbers (They do match)
- The nonexistent rear sight, the sight block is also not square to the frame.
- Using dummy rounds it more or less chambers and cycles 32acp.
- I can get a click out of the trigger if I put side pressure on it while pulling.
