Do you think America and Japan will become more pro-active in fighting PRC influence on ROC political parties?

Questions | 問題

I'm noticing in recent days increasing outspoken statements by American officials that they view the hold up of the 40 billion defense funding plan as a problem to the Republic of China's national security. Meanwhile in Japan it looks like the Japanese are going to become more assertive in the conflict against communist China and supporting the free area. Assuming that the KMT and TPP do not back the 40 billion plan, do you think in the coming months and years the United States and Japan will be more eager to put in their own influence in the political space of the ROC in order to prevent CCP poxy parties from dominating the ROC political space? Some may call this political inference but keep in mind the ROC is a grey zone as neither JP or USA recognise Democratic China as a country (this may give them more legal and grey zone to take action than if they formally recognised the ROC).
