I’m 8 months clean and sober. I’ve had a few relapses and have grown stronger from them! This time I’m taking my recovery very serious and giving it everything I can just like I once did with the drugs. I’m so much more happier and a better person when I’m sober and living life to please God. I’m very grateful and thankful of all that I have and am able to give others. I stay active in church and the fellowships of NA and AA, although NA is where I’m the most comfortable. I’m part of a recovery church and I’m always looking to help someone with any struggles they may be facing. Sometimes just having someone to talk and listen is all we need. The people I’ve grown to know in the last 8 months are some of the best people I’ve ever known. Everyone deserves a second chance. We all make mistakes and fall down. It’s what we do when we get back up that matters. Learn from your mistakes and change the way you were once doing things. That’s what I’m doing and so far my life is great! I have a nice place to live vs once being homeless, in and out of jail and rehabs. I have an amazing job that is turning into a career that I absolutely love and look forward to everyday. I just take things one day at a time and keep things simple. 😊
