Santa Fe rolls back when in drive

So I park my car in my driveway, which has just enough pitch to allow rain water to shed. So barely any grade to it at all. If my 2022 Santa Fe is parked in the driveway and I want to move it into the garage I'll jump in, start the car, and put it into drive.

The garage door is narrow so I don't want to quickly accelerate, I just want the engine ideal speed to move me slowly into the garage. The reason I don't want to put my foot on the accelerator in this situation is that this car likes to go from 0mph to 5mph in a half second if you even touch the pedal.

But if I don't touch the pedal and accelerate into my garage, and if I don't put my foot on the brake, the car will slowly roll backwards for about 5 feet before the drive gear even engages.

Not sure what it is with this transmission but I've never had a car where, when you put it into drive, that it doesn't engage without using the accelerator. And then, if you do, it just rockets ahead.
