Guess I don’t wanna help?

I was shopping at an outdoor/home goods store one day & on my way to the bathroom, an older man had just entered the store & thought I worked there. He waved his newspaper ad at me and asked, “popcorn machine?” I was a little caught off guard so I said, “uhhh…” and he says, “do you work here?” And I say, “No sorry I don’t work here, I wish I could help you!” He says, “I can’t see why you would.” Well dang, ok I felt bad I couldn’t help you, but I guess he knows how I feel better than I do lol
