Finding Dates

Hey guys,

Was curious if this topic has been addressed. I have trouble finding local dates as I'm looking for someone of my cultural background which is rare how I live. I believe CW said that you can ask friends (men and women) for ideas.

What are your thoughts on doing this? Can I ask men and women? Does one tend to give you better recs for intentional?
