Other survival enjoyers, what little quality of life tricks do you use during your playthroughs?

Some of mine, in no order:

-being a khajiit for fur and raw food bonus -werewolf for covering lots of ground and disease resistance -carrying a couple camps -running north east down the mountain from high hrothgar to get to whiterun fast -doing/activating as many quests in or near a city
