Ugly fireplace
I bought a landlord special in 2022, and finally after the basic fixes and a hurricane, I am starting to think about bigger changes besides repairs. My house was built in the mid 90s, and has a hideous corner fireplace where the fireplace itself is broken. I live in NC, so have never had the desire to turn it on in 3.5 yrs. I recently came into some inheritance due to my Dad's passing, and I carved out a bit to do some housework (Dad said get rid of that fireplace you hate lol).
I just was wondering what sort of price range would I expect to remove the fireplace (it is gas, but I already had it turned off and capped). I'm getting price quotes currently, but just wanted some extra opinions. Essentially, a builder grade, corner fireplace surrounded by ugly beige tile. White builder grade wood with a mantle, picture your standard 90s corner fireplace that is too big for a space, that's the one.
