Quit a 4k/month job in France to build a b2b saas from New York.
Probably the dumbest financial decision ive made but here we are
turned down a solid permanent contract paying 4k/month in france to move to new york and build solo
why nyc: honestly just the american dream thing. plus its way easier to move around : sf, miami, whatever. felt like if i stayed in france id just keep postponing this
what im building: b2b saas for real estate. cant say much more but theres a real problem im solving that i kept seeing when i was in france
1 month in reality check:
- everything is 3x more expensive than i thought (even after accounting for nyc prices)
- networking is easier but also everyone is grinding so hard it makes france look chill
- building solo is lonely as fuck especially in a new city
- no safety net is terrifying but also weirdly motivating
the weird part is i dont regret it yet. ask me again in 3 months lol
