Any benefit of taking my portal with me to India?

Im in the US and the portal works great for me. Will be traveling to india, for work, for 2 weeks in March. I expect the internet on the plane would just be frustrating to try playing on. How about while Im in India, what would i actually be able to do with the device? In my previous experience, the hotel wifi is pretty solid in both cities Ill be working.
