Perineal Tear

Hi everyone Not sure if this is the right group to ask but hopefully someone here might be able to offer some advice. My wife gave birth 2 weeks ago. It was natural labour and during pushing she sustained a 3rd degree tear. They said it was superficial third degree and they stitched her up. She's in pain every time she opens her bowels though but at other times she's ok. She's taking regular laxatives to keep her stools soft. However, we're both really anxious. Anyone else who had a similar experience and then healed up really well? Any advice anyone can offer?
