Platinum run

I’m doing the platinum run on professional and I’m literally diying in the first the chapter numerous times. Any tips from anyone who’s done it ? The biggest challenge is the blocking mechanic, I can’t time perfectly or I time it perfectly by watching the animation and I still get hit.
