DMing

Hi everyone, so i did my first ever dnd session with some friends like a week ago, it was his first dming experience, so it was a small already pre-made adventure, i liked it, and since I've always liked writing tiny stories and adventures, i thought about it, started having ideas for encounters, fights and the overall story, started writing it down, when i saw my dm friend again told him i was feeling inspired and would love to write him a campaign, he refused to do it without even reading anything, so i decided to do it myself, its been fun, i decided on having multiple paths with various fights and weird encounters.

And I've been feeling kinda down, because in my first idea, each path was his own, but im feeling sad that my friends wont be able to experience some interactions because of what path they choose, does anyone has any tips on how to plan it, make them experience most of it.

I got a tip from a friend even though he doesn't dm, he consumes alot of dnd content, and he said that what alot of dms do is, let the players decide the path and then the dm incorporates, the encounter they want depending on what the players want.

Any tips are appreciated, thank you all in advance.
