How much of a red flag is this?

Advice

I’m meant to go on a date with a man I matched with and have been talking to for maybe 2 weeks.

He’s been really consistent but I can’t help but be suspicious of him somehow. He’s a bit intense for me via text but our phone calls went well and I was willing to give it a shot. But I just noticed that he’s put in his profile that he doesn’t smoke weed though he’s told me the opposite in our texts (he said that knowing that I smoke weed occasionally too). I feel like he told me the truth and that he does smoke weed, but his lying on his profile is such a turn off that I want to next him.

Is that fair or is that my avoidant tendency taking over? I feel like I can’t trust anything he says now and already had alarm bells ringing in my ears when he would « overpromise » without knowing me (saying stuff like « you’ll never have to explain yourself to me » while I was trying to have a transparent / clear communication or « you are already my favourite person », it’s really a turn-off for me because we don’t know each other! We’ve never met! ).

Lack of honesty is really a turn-off but I don’t know if I’m being too harsh.

He’s also said some stuff about god but I’m agnostic leaning atheist and really hate when people « preach » to me.

If it is fair, how would you cancel the plan? I don’t want my being turned off by him to become this debate. People have a tendency to try to plead with me when I end things (even before they start)and this is draining…
