Post Japan Depression
Small steps towards glass
That protect balcony
A sea of neon and right angles
A dream a thought
A life lived to meet a quota
By product of brain
In endless circles
And when the want warrants
Direction to the stop sign
The last person sitting
The ache
The longing
A place to be accepted
Where hands rested intertwined
Sunlight graced thumbs locked in prayer
What do you dream about
When your world is laid bare
Where do you wander blindly
Into unknown pools of grandeur
Into places you don’t belong
Into the consciousness
Of the three piece suit
In the center seat
Of their worries their joy
Their return to the familiar
Their anxiety of the anticipation
It’s all without purpose and with
It’s all a dream this life
It’s all unspoken
