Does anyone else know exactly what they need to do but just… can’t do it?

I’m honestly curious if this is just me or an ADHD thing other people deal with too.

Like I can wake up knowing exactly what I need to do that day. The tasks are clear. Nothing is confusing. I even WANT to do them. But my brain just won’t start. It’s not procrastinating in a “I’ll do it later” way, it’s more like… I’m stuck until there’s panic or a deadline breathing down my neck.

Time is also fake to me apparently. I’ll think something will take 20 minutes and somehow an hour and a half disappears. Or I overplan my day thinking “this time I’ll be realistic” and then end up behind anyway. I’m always surprised by how late it is.

And don’t even get me started on forgetting things. Keys, appointments, messages I meant to reply to, basic stuff. If something isn’t right in front of my face it basically stops existing. People probably think I don’t care but I really do.

Medication helps sometimes but it’s inconsistent, hard to access, and honestly exhausting to figure out. Some days it works, some days it doesn’t, and then I’m left wondering if it’s me or my brain again.

I guess I just want to know if others experience this same combo of knowing, wanting, trying… and still feeling stuck and chaotic most days. How do you explain this to people without sounding lazy or dramatic?

Would love to hear if this resonates with anyone.
