Why are they deporting children and where are they bringing them to?

Anyone else noticed an uptick of “deporting” children? Why separating them from their parents in the first place if they have to get deported as well? Why not deporting them together? What are they doing with the children? I assume it’s darker than we can imagine….. it’s reminding me of the 30’s just in a different manner
