Is this a feasible plan for starting my career?

I want to become competent in paid ad tools like meta, YouTube and Google. Then I want to create a plan for some local businesses; a small restaurant around my corner and a chiropractic office in my city.

The chiropractor I know via a terrible paid YouTube ad, and the restaurant I know is in a tough location and has changed ownership over the years.

After getting some certifications and just knowing I would know how to run a paid ad campaign, I plan to cold approach these businesses to do free work to gain experience and maybe put something on my resume.

Is this realistic at all or is this too much wishful thinking on my part lol.
