Blocking out the sight of my complex and obviously the children.

I live in a pretty big complex but it’s pretty empty. I’m the only person who lives on my floor but all of the units below me are occupied. I’ve been living here about 9 months and have never had an issue with my neighbors. It’s a suspicious area but everyone minds their business and is courteous.

I live in a studio and all of the units surrounding mine are also studios of the same size. I RARELY have guests, I don’t play music, I use my TV sparingly (and quietly at that), and I’ve had positive interactions with everyone here so far. Directly below me is a very sweet older couple but they are not married and the woman/girlfriend comes to stay like Friday-Monday every week. Although they excessively smoke weed every weekend (against apartment policies) and it makes my whole apartment smell for a couple of hours, they’re very kind and I just close my windows and turn on a fan when it gets really bad.

Yesterday (Friday), the adult daughter and 2 grandchildren of the woman came to visit. Turns out they’re staying the whole weekend. 3 adults and 2 kids in a studio apartment. The kids are a brother and sister probably about 9 and 7 respectively. They’ve been spending ALL DAY today AND yesterday on the stairs right out side of my door. As I’m typing this they’re fighting, the boy is whining and pouting, and the girl is crying. Both are doing so very loudly. Their mom finally came to say something to them but did nothing and they have been running up and down the stairs, hitting each other, and yelling since they’ve arrived.

These annoying children don’t live here
