Hello!

I've been wanting a helix piercing, and I was wondering what I should check with the piercer before getting pierced?

Would a professional always use a lamp to check veins and nerves, or is it not necessary? Is it something that some piercers do just for "show" and it isn't necessary, or is it something crucial that I should check is being done?

My only experience are lobe piercings
