Stocks for beginners

Hello everyone I am Ash, freshman in college. I am totally new to investing or stocks. Have like 2-3k don’t know what to do, what to buy. any suggestions would be appreciated. Looking for any short term money making stocks. Already bought AMPX don’t know is it a good idea or not. But yeah help me here guys.
