If your HVAC leads are “cheap”, something’s wrong.
I know that sounds backwards.
Most owners get excited when cost per lead drops.
But in HVAC, cheaper usually means lower intent.
It often looks like:
⊙ DIY searches from homeowners trying to fix it themselves
⊙ People looking for parts, not service
⊙ Coupon hunters calling five companies for the lowest quote
⊙ Renters who aren’t decision-makers
The leads come in.
The phones ring.
But jobs don’t close.
That’s when frustration starts
“Google Ads isn’t working.”
In reality, the problem isn’t volume.
It’s intent.
High-quality HVAC leads cost more because:
⊙ the problem is urgent
⊙ the homeowner is ready
⊙ they value speed and reliability over price
I’d rather generate fewer serious calls than flood a dispatch board with noise.
In home services, cheap leads usually become expensive distractions.
Quality beats volume. Every time.
