Red god thoughts

I recently finished reading Lightbringer, and I’m curious to know if it’s possible for Lysander to use the weapons against the colors without achieving an immediate victory. My thoughts led me to believe that he’ll employ the weapon in a scenario where it would result in the death of either Darrow or Pax. Since they are partially red, they might survive or somehow revert Darrow to his red form. If he uses the weapon against Darrow and manages to survive as a red, that could be the catalyst for him becoming the Red God. I’m just rambling, lol!
