Early May Itinerary

We are heading to Greece early May! The start of our trip will be pretty gogo, but by design. There are a few major mainland sites we want to see. Instead of taking multiple day tours from Athens we decided to rent a car and drive our selves. The 3 drops will consists of 2.5-3 hours of driving which we plan on taking mid afternoon, and arriving at out next stay around dinner. Where we can then explore the town in the evening, take a morning tour with a local guide and then explore anything else before we head off to the next destination. The end of the trip is more chill, and we are staying in Santorini. We currently have nothing booked there, but will probably live more of a go with the flow vibe. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Sunday May 3 - Arrive in Athens, evening exploration Monday May 4 - Acropolis, city center site see. Mid/late afternoon drive to Delphi (2.5 hours), stay in Delphi Tuesday May 5 - morning Delphi your with local your guide, drive to Kalabaka (3 hours), stay in Kalabaka Wednesday May 6 - morning Meteora tour, afternoon drive to Thessaloniki (3 hours), stay in Thessaloniki Thursday May 7 - full day tour Mount Olympus & Dion, pickup from Thessaloniki hotel Friday May 8 - lunch time flight to Crete Saturday May 9 - Crete full day tour, Knossos, Olive Oil, Wine, etc. Sunday May 10 - free day Monday May 11 - Ferry to Santorini Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, full days in Santorini - book boat tour, explore etc. Friday May 15 - lunch time flight to Athens Saturday May 16 - fly home
