Lender asking me to refinance due to a mistake on there end
Hi all. I just recieved this message from my lender:
"We made a mistake on the back end of this loan when attempting to sell it and missed a window. There are no changes to your terms and candidly it's not your problem. It would be helpful for us to have you resign new documents so we can sell the loan to a different investor.
As a result of this we will lower your interest rate by .125% at a minimum with zero fees. The loan will match the identical terms you have just at a lower rate."
How can I best leverage this situation? What is a realistic terms i can request to move forward?
Loan details: Closed in Oct'25. Loan amount: 1.1M (Jumbo) Terms: 7/6 Arm at 5.625%
Appreciate your help!
