My luma cybers arrived. I’m 7213!

So far I’m blown away by the quality of the screen and the overall build quality.

The issue I’m having is with software and the nose pads.

Firstly the nose pads:

I tried all of them but it seems I’m best using 0 size on my nose. The fit seems decent and doesn’t tend to slip. However I do find that I need to sort of push them almost into my eye sockets to get them to sit right. Then I realised I forgot to adjust the temples and it sat much better, though I still have to adjust slightly every so often to stop them slipping now.

I’ve seen people suggesting setex nose pads which apparently help so I was wondering if this would potentially fix this issue for me.

Onto software:

I’m using a PSVR2 adapter to connect to my pc which works well, I’ve tested it with both the immersive 3D app which works absolutely amazingly.

The issue I have is with spacewalker (I know others have issues) it seems to connect fine initially, but then when I pick a screen type such as single mirrored screen of my primary monitor it connects works for about 30 seconds the drops off and gives me a still 1dof screen which has no cursor or movement. All apps are minimized.

It then reconnects and everything kicks into life and the cycle repeats. I unfortunately don’t have enough time to check the display settings are right before it does this but when I’m using immersive 3D I don’t have this issue.

I’d love to know what other people are doing to get theirs to work. I’m on the latest Nvidia update, latest XR firmware and windows update.

Tbh I’m a bit gutted as I was really looking forward to trying out gaming on the PC and some productivity testing but as it stands with the software as it stands it’s not fit for purpose.

Everything on the spacewalker app on IOS seems to work fine, had some issues logging into Netflix but I realised from another post that you have to manually make sure you go to the correct regional URL for your Netflix. By default it’s using bookmarks for a web browser to the wrong reason so I hope this helps you guys if you’re having that issue. Once I got it working I started watching anime on Netflix and it looks incredible. Just a shame I can’t seem to watch it in 3D mode through the IOS spacewalker app with the Netflix player.

Hope to see them add native or full streaming service support soon rather than having to use a flakey browser.

Anyway that’s my thoughts so far, I’ll carry on testing and tinkering. Hope you guys can offer some advice and maybe a fix for the issues I’m having, if not I’m sure Viture will continue to improve and update the platform 😎

Luma cybers arrived - love it so far but have a few issues
