This will be a month to month sublease to start, with an option to sign on to a yearly lease later on. March 1 start is ideal, but we are open to an earlier start (as soon as February 15), Asking $1,350 per month excluding utilities (which will be split amongst the tenants).

About the space: you will be occupying 1 bedroom with your own private bathroom. There’s ample natural lighting in the bedroom and common spaces and plenty of space throughout. The bedroom is spacious! It can easily fit a queen size bed, a desk, a dresser or two and additional room for activities. Attached is your own private bathroom with a standing shower, toilet and sink. The bedroom is currently unfurnished, but we’re happy to work with you to help you find the basics if needed. Shared spaces include a massive combined kitchen and living room and a private yard that is accessed through our bedroom. The apartment itself is a first floor unit (no stairs) and your bedroom faces our private yard. The nearest laundromat is half a block away (and does delivery and drop off). There is also a dollar store, grocery store, cafes, bodegas, and takeout spots all within a 5 min walk. The nearest train stops are the A/C Kingston-Throop & Utica Ave lines, which is a 10 min walk away.

About your roommates: You will be sharing the apartment with me (early 30 F) and my partner (late 20s M) who share the second bedroom. I work full time out of the house ~5 days a week and keep most social commitments out of the house. The version you’ll get of me at home will definitely be quite downtempo, as I use my time at home to decompress, sleep in, cook and relax. When not working or resting, I love movement related activities, trying new recipes, reading, and long deep talks about anything and everything. My partner flies internationally frequently for work, so he’s also out of the house a lot. When he is at home, he’s usually sleeping, playing video games, watching tv, DJing, and keeping things relatively lowkey as well. We both view the apartment as a place to relax outside of our social and work commitments, so our hope is that you view the apt the same way (no parties or late night gatherings). However, we do occasionally have a friend or two over for a movie or dinner (and we’ll make sure to give you proper notice). We like to keep the apartment clean, but also are understanding of busy schedules- so we value mutual trust and proactive communication in a future roommate. We both consider ourselves to be kind, friendly, respectful, and easy going.

We’re looking for someone who:
- proactively cleans after themselves and is willing to split up shared apartment responsibilities
- communicates in a mature and timely manner
- can pay rent on time
- is easy going (we’d love someone we can be friendly with, but no worries too if it doesn’t play out that way)
- is respectful, considerate, conscientious of noise levels/use of common spaces
- has no pets
It would also be nice to have someone who wants to cultivate and is willing to contribute to a cozy, homey atmosphere. Right now, our yard is covered in snow but when it gets warmer out, we would love to create a cute outdoor space for grilling and outdoor hangs.

We just moved last week so we do not have any current pictures, but I’m attaching a few pics of the unfurnished apartment to give you an idea of the space. If you’re interested or if there’s any additional questions, feel free to reach out with a blurb about yourself, how your schedule looks like roughly, and what you do in your free time so I can get an idea of who you are. Looking forward to hearing from you!
