I worked with 37 VAs in 5 years of wholesaling and it almost cost me everything
In 5 years of wholesaling I worked with 37 different VAs and I wish I was exaggerating, but this business is a numbers game and if 100 to 200 calls are not going out daily your pipeline dies, so I kept hiring trying to fix the gap, cheap hires, fast hires, people who sounded confident but could not handle real seller conversations, and when I finally sat down and calculated it between salaries training time missed follow ups burned leads and dead deals I had lost close to 94,000 USD, not because VAs do not work but because the wrong fit destroys momentum quietly, the worst part was not the money it was watching motivated sellers slip away because consistency was missing, it took me years to understand that dialing is easy but controlling quality and follow up is everything, once I finally got the right structure in place the deal flow stopped feeling random and started feeling predictable, just sharing this because bad hiring in this business is way more expensive than most people realize.
