Mentality

Discussion

The mentality in the locker room seems more rotten than ever. Confidence is shattered, and the overwhelming sentiment between us fans and players alike is hopelessness. Even with a good performance like today’s second half, we still come out on the losing side.

Sure, it can be so easy to blame Hürzeler for this issue. (I personally am on the fence but very slightly still leaning into Hürzeler in.) But one aspect of the locker room I would like to look at is the senior players. It is not a secret that senior players are almost always who other players look up to in times of shattered confidence, and more so in this locker room, as Hürzeler made it no secret that he looks to and delegates a part of his locker room atmosphere management to these senior players. I’m not saying Hürzeler is not to blame, but where is the accountability from our players? Especially with so many individual errors committed by them, I feel like Hürzeler may be getting thrown under the bus.
