Reflecting on and Looking for Friends 31M
Hello,
Like many others, I have been struggling with the fact that my small circle of friends has gotten married. Not to say that I’m a wild one who likes to party all night and all that, it’s quite the opposite, actually. It is understandable, however, that married life comes with responsibilities and limited time for friends.
A little bit about myself: I’m a 31-year-old local male. I like genuine connections and conversations, which is why I’m not fond of transient relationships, like people who are bored and are looking to simply kill time. To me, it’s always about the company and memories rather than the activity or the place itself. Moreover, I like films, literature and music that you actually listen to rather than dance to. As I’m writing this, I realized how old I sound, but that’s just me. Always have been the same, and I think the cost of being this way is the reason why I have made very few friends over the decades.
Moving on, I’m not sad or anything. Lonely, yes, but I have overcome sadness few years ago with the help of therapy. I know what brings me joy and happiness now, and as much as I hated to admit it before, it’s companionship, as well as creative writing about my favorite topics of books and films.
