ASUS TUF F16 - Trackpad freezing for 5-30 Seconds on Frequent Basis

Hi, my trackpad is repeatedly freezing, which is becoming very noticeable when scrolling through documents. My mouse works fine but I do not bring it to class and prefer not to use is when I'm not playing games on the laptop. I have tried checking for updates in device management and my windows is updated. Now looking for other suggestions. This issue started immediately when I started using the computer, which I got back in late November. Appreciate any useful info.
