Can mental health issues cause physical pain in my ears?

I have been experiencing a freqency sound in my ears for a few months now, it changes it pitch alot but today has gotten very high pitched and is causing me physical pain.

It is not all the time in the day and stops but has been everyday for at least some amount of time.
