Any tips on how to defend 3rd down attempts against AI?

So i‘m pretty new to Madden (playing on Pro) and while i learned plenty of things since getting started, there is one thing that makes me lose games… my opponent (usually better teams) are converting their 3rd down attempts almost at a 90% rate (for example - played against the Ravens and they went 12/13).

I‘m wondering if there are any tips for defending especially at 3rd downs.
