how do i get mods for dcs on linux?

i tried to look for instructions how to get mods on linux and i didn't really find anything. i tried to get the su-30 mod, i put the files in the /mods/aircraft folder in the proton prefix and i launched the game, but i got "steam authorization failed, su-30 not initialized" error message. i checked the requirements, and according to the website i don't need anything and according to the lua files i need "flanker" which i assume means su-27 which i own. then i decided to get a r-77m weapon mod for su-27. the readme told me that i need to put the su-27 folder in the same folder as the su-30 and the lua file in programfiles/eagle dynamics/scripts/database/planes, but the eagle dynamics folder doesn't exist, and as i said i didn't find any tutorials for linux modding.
