Can a Doctor Transition Into Healthcare Data Analysis?

Hey everyone!

I’m a doctor who completed my MBBS from Pakistan in 2023, completed my internship year but realised I was absolutely miserable in that job, took a break year and started thinking about MPH. To test it, I did a few courses on policy making and research but I did not like it at all.. And then I accidentally discovered Healthcare Data Analysis and immediately fell in love with it!

The thing is, as a doctor, I’m overqualified for most jobs but as an analyst, I’m seriously under qualified. I picked up a few job simulations on Forage, did a couple courses, started working on my skills like Excel, Tableau and SQL.

My goal is to land an international remote job. What should I do to improve my CV? How should I position myself to employers? What is the scope in this field for someone who does not live in the US? Any suggestion/advice is welcome! Thank you!
