My account is locked for "hijacking" because I tried to return an item from a split trade. I'm devastated.
RETWEET: I am writing this while crying and having a massive panic attack. I haven’t slept or eaten in two days. My 5-year-old Steam account, which is my whole life and has all my memories, was just locked for 'hijacking'. I am NOT a hijacker, I am a victim who tried to do the right thing.
I know I did wrong in this situation by getting involved in a messy trade, but all I want now is to give his stuff back and end this. The situation: I was doing a trade involving items from two different games. I got scared it was a scam, so I tried to cancel everything. Because the trade glitched, I ended up with my own item AND the other person's item in my inventory. Both got hit with a 30-day trade lock.
I didn't want to steal anything! I was the one who reached out to Steam Support first. I begged them: 'Please, I have this item that isn't mine, I want to give it back but I’m blocked for 30 days.' The first agent, Alex, told me I was safe and specifically told me to ignore the other guy and just wait for the trade ban to expire.
I followed Alex’s advice perfectly. But the other user continuously harasses me and is pressuring me with 3rd party payments for that skin, demanding Gift Cards or he’d get me banned. I kept ignoring him like Alex said, trusting Steam to protect me. Instead, another agent (Ignatius) locked my account and accused me of hijacking.
I am devastated. Why would a thief report himself? I just want to return the item and have my life back. I feel like I'm losing everything because I tried to be honest and followed Support's instructions. Please, if anyone from Valve sees this, I am begging for mercy. I just want this nightmare to end.

UPDATE2
LATEST UPDATE: This is getting out of control. The 'Hijacking' lock seems to be a system error or a false flag for now, but the other user is using this to destroy me mentally.
He just told me straight up: 'If you don't find a way to pay me (Crypto/Gift Cards), I will file my own report now, and I'll make sure you get a permanent life ban.'
He is literally trying to extort me while my account is already locked by a bug. I have screenshots of him saying he will 'finish me off' with more reports if I don't pay his ransom.
I am already struggling with severe anxiety and panic attacks, and this guy is weaponizing Steam's reporting system to blackmail me. I've sent everything to Support in a new ticket, but I'm terrified they won't look at the Telegram logs.
Has anyone else been blackmailed like this during an active lock? How do I make Steam understand that I'm being targeted by a predator while trying to fix a trade error?
I don’t think o have much time left…
