Am I the only one noticing this?

First of all, I'm not addressing everyone. Many redditors here are nice and respectful but I've been noticing a pattern of rude, disrespectful and mean comments that have surpassed the nice ones. They criticize, project, judge, false accuse and assume and even bully people they don't know!!

I genuinely thought reddit is a place of cultivated and mature people, but what is this? does no one consider one's feelings? are they okay with saying hurtful things then go sleep like nothing happened?

99% of these comments are from men. again I'm not saying all men are rude, there are multiple good men out there, but the fact that the bad ones surpassed the good ones is true.

sometimes I see a normal post then I go read the comments and I'm left speechless by the amount of criticism the op gets, for what? for nothing!!

they somehow always find something to criticize and attack. and their reasoning doesn't make any sense.
