Loose tea amount + infusion space

Is the rule really 1g/1 teaspoon per 100ml?

It just *seems* like a lot and I’m going to burn through my nice tea quickly. (Bought some 2nd Flush Assam from Whittard’s)

I mean, it tastes right, I think.

I’m using a bone china teapot with a removable ceramic infuser cup - is this enough space for it to breathe and spread?
