Called maintenance three days ago about a clogged toilet and haven’t gotten a response. What else can I try myself?

So far extensive plunging, dish soap and a gallon of tap hot water haven’t worked. Not sure what the main cause is because the poop that clogged it wasn’t particularly large or TP intensive. Short of purchasing an auger (which I’ll do if they don’t come by tomorrow morning), what else can I try to reclaim my bathroom?
