Life in Idaho Falls as an Atheist Couple... is it worth it?
My partner (33 male) might have a career reason to move to Idaho Falls. And we might have to break up if I don't move there. But I (28 female) am terrified and want to get honest opinions from others like me. I live in a midwestern college town of more that 130,000. It's a liberal college town in a sea of red, but I don't mind it. I work as a creative and it's always had enough opportunities for me. But that is entirely different than a town run by Mormons. They genuinely terrify me, and I have zero patience for religious bullshit. Not to mention, weed is completely illegal (a fucking lame, shame with how much gorgeous scenery the state has), and the town is small, yet it appears to be the biggest metro area within a 90 mile radius. I am scared I won't find a job. I'll have no friends because everyone is Mormon. And I'll be depressed and furious all the time because there is no weed.
Are there any redeemable qualities of Idaho Falls besides the nature?
If you have similar beliefs or lifestyle to me, how is it for you?
