500 point gift list

Hello all,

Despite my best efforts my son wants to play ‘nids instead of Salamanders. Because I still love the boy I want to get him a good 500 point list put together but I do not have the experience necessary to put a decent one together. Any suggestions on what to get a new player as a starting point he can grow from? Ideally it would be good for KotC too.
