Medical Malpractice?

I’m wondering if this could be considered malpractice and worth meeting with a lawyer for? My mother went for a cardiac workup over the summer and received all kinds of tests, the doctor would not release results by phone or portal only in person. She recently passed away from a cardiac event that could have been prevented had she received the results and gotten treatment. Is this something that could be seen as malpractice or not since she didn’t not go in to receive the results?
