Preparing to be annoyed

I will be 28 weeks tomorrow with me and my husbands first child. This is the first grandchild for my mother and the 3rd on my husbands side.

We live in FL, but are originally from IL. My family is still in IL, while my in laws snowbird to FL. Their plan was to return to IL in May, and had promised my BIL he could use their house mid-May for a weekend with some friends before they knew we were pregnant and due the first week of May.

My mom is planning on flying in before my due date and staying with us for as long as we need.

My in-laws are planning on meeting the baby immediately and then leaving to go back to IL. And they have repeatedly told me they hope that she comes early or on time so they can leave. They have not asked me when they can meet the baby, what my plan is, etc. Their other DIL had everyone wait 2 weeks to meet their 2 children but they have not even thought that I may want them to wait.

I already know that they are going to be bothering me nonstop once my due date gets closer. My MIL has not so subtly said I should consider an induction (even after I told her I don’t want one) so they can leave before my BIL arrives because they told him & his friends can stay there.
