Didplay Screen won't turn on...what is the likely fix

I have a GH4 with no visible damage to the display screen but it won't turn on. I am wondering if the fix is more likely to be replacing the screen, or the ribbon that goes between screen part and main camera body. the ribbon is about $5 AUD and screen is like $150 AUD.
