Moving iTunes Library to new MacBook

How to add my iTunes library to Apple Music?

Former Windows user, migrated to MacBook today. I have a .itl file of my iTunes library (not an Apple Music subscriber, don’t want to be), I open the Music App with Option held, choose Library, select my itl file, it says analyzing song info, then nothing appears. How do I move my iTunes library?
