Anyone else drowning in manual regression tests as their SaaS grows?
As our product grew, regression testing started becoming a real bottleneck. Every UI tweak meant updating Playwright scripts, fixing selectors, and maintaining flows that kept breaking.
I ended up building a tool called AegisRunner to approach it differently.
Instead of writing tests manually, AegisRunner:
- Takes your app URL
- Blind-crawls the product (clicks, scrolls, fills forms, navigates across states)
- Maps interactions automatically
- Generates a full Playwright test suite using AI
- Schedules recurring runs to catch regressions over time
It also runs accessibility (axe-core), SEO, security, and Core Web Vitals audits during each crawl, so we get broader coverage in one pass.
It’s been interesting seeing how much surface area gets covered without writing a single test by hand.
Curious how other SaaS founders are handling regression testing once their UI starts scaling. Are you maintaining big manual suites, using record/replay tools, or experimenting with AI-driven approaches?
