Hi all, I'll be going to Japan in a month, and I've got a budget of around 3500 USD for a watch purchase. I plan on buying used, so both the BB54 and SBGW301 are right around my budget. Do you guys have any insights or opinions on why I should choose one over the other? I likely won't purchase another piece for a good bit of time after this, so it will be one watch only for the near future. I've also put a pic of the current pieces I have. I generally wear dressier clothing than the average person, but I do not wear suits on a regular basis. My wrists are quite small at 6.5 inches. Also my thoughts on both pieces:

BB54

Pros- This watch has really good specs, and it will definitely get a lot of wear as it is a fantastic GADA watch. I also love how it feels like a modern version of the classic submariners, and just generally has a very clean appearance. I'm a big fan of bracelets, but also love changing around straps, and this watch is perfect for that. It's a perfect watch to enjoy and never have to worry about- goes with just about anything, high WR, thin, automatic, good PR, etc.

Cons- The dial can sometimes feel a little plain, and isn't as beautifully striking as the Grand Seiko. While I don't dislike the snowflake hand, I also don't love it absolutely. Also, I already have two black watches and a diver, so this watch might be repetitive (that said It'll probably steal more wrist time from the others, as opposed to the other way around). I am prepared to sell off the Traska though, so that may help.

SBGW301

Pros- This watch is absolutely beautiful, and it is quite different from the other pieces in my collection. As this will probably be my last time in Japan for a while, I feel like buying a Japanese watch might have slightly more sentimental value, especially if I end up owning both pieces in the distant future. The polishing, purity of the dial, and the finished movement are probably things I'll stare at quite often.

Cons- I feel like this piece won't get as much wrist time as the Tudor would. It's just less versatile overall, and the specs are honestly a little underwhelming at the price point. 30m water resistance and 11.7 mm for a dress watch with no complications are quite underwhelming. Additionally, I do like switching around straps, and this definitely seems like a watch that would only really work on black/brown leather. While I wind my watches quite often, the fact that this is manual wind without a power reserve would be just a little less convenient.

Which Watch Should I Purchase in Japan?
