Portfolio Idea
Hey all, 27M here. I have a situation here that I am looking to get different perspectives on. I am concerned that I will have to much for retirement and not enjoy my life to the fullest while I am younger.
My current job has a modest salary of 58k per year, but it has a pension plan, a Roth 457, a HSA, and pays into social security. Outside of work I have a Roth IRA and a tax-free payment of around 4k/month that will be made to me for the rest of my life. Essentially 6 streams of income when I retire.
For background information, I have a NW of ~700k, ~88k Roth IRA, ~580k of that being liquid and currently invested in the market, and the rest is vehicle and a few other things of value that I own outright.
I bring home about 1k per month from my job as most of it is going towards maxing out the 457 and HSA and Pension plan. I then receive my 4k check, so about 5k take home. My necessary bills currently sit at ~3k per month. It gets the job done, but I have worked so hard to achieve the position that I am in and want to start lifestyle inflating, because I live and have lived a very conservative life style.
Now to the point, because I will have 6 streams of income (maybe 5 if social security vanishes) when I retire, I am thinking about investing in things that will bring me income now. I personally am not able to justify throwing my ~580k into VOO and letting it grow when I will already be set in retirement (Roth 457, Roth IRA, and HSA are all in SP500/Growth funds of some combination). I have the idea to invest in 10% BTCI, 35% QQQI, and 55% SPYI in order to get more income now to enjoy life a bit more. This combination of funds yields around 14.5% distribution rate and to my understanding, is a more tax-friendly fund with ROC and a 60/40 split between qualified and non-qualified dividends thereafter. If I lump summed 580k into these, it would produce me ~7k/month bringing me to about 11k/month total after contributions to retirement accounts. NAV does not seem to be a problem with the NEOS funds either, outside of BTCI because of the recent price drop of bitcoin, but long term I believe in bitcoin.
Thoughts on my portfolio pivot in regards to my situation?
