Is there anyway to join squads without the ubisoft interface enabled?

Before they updated the interface i could just minimize the game without the interface enabled and open the ubisoft connect program and join there. Now it always gives me (You need to start the game) prompt instead ever since they updated it so now i am forced to have it enabled. I dont like having it enabled cause i am not on the most modern software.
