How has A-bay been lately? Anyone want to tag along with a first timer?

28M here working up the coast today and wanting to head to my first ‘clothing optional’ beach, does anyone know how A bay has been lately? Everything I see that is ‘recent’ is a few years old talking about the police doing walks around, does this still happen?
